It might be a while until fans actually get to see the conclusion of the season, though. Filming was reportedly brought to a halt due to the actors strike that started in July 2023. Until the strike is over, actors will not be returning to work in any capacity. One of the remarkable aspects of “Delicate Condition” is its exploration of sensitive issues like miscarriage. This adds depth to the story, making it not only a horrifying tale but also a thought-provoking exploration of the emotional and psychological toll of fertility struggles.

But just how unreliable is she? Are we to believe her husband, her doctor, her friends, is she losing the plot? Or is she more in tune with her own body than she even dares to believe herself? Has she become entangled with a Satanic cult, or is she just having a tough pregnancy? Is she pregnant with a who? Or with a what? Although she couldn’t tease much about the role, she did say, “It’s really fun to step outside of your comfort zone and try something new and grow. OMG…this book started off as a good novel...read on, and it became a mystery and...keep reading, a little bit of horror and finally a wonderful psychological thriller. I would give this book a 4.5. Bookclubs will have much to discuss about the contents of this novel. Danielle Valentine has penned a RIVETING story of one woman’s journey through pregnancy. Millions of women give birth. Some were happy, some not. Anna Victoria Alcott is an actor who finds her success a little later in life. She’s married and trying to conceive and undergoing IVF treatment when her career really soars. This newfound taste of fame combined with a parental hyperawareness leaves Anna feeling paranoid and fragile. As her pregnancy progresses so do her strange antenatal symptoms until she becomes convinced she’s carrying a monster… For those of you who haven’t experienced pregnancy, try to keep in mind that this is fiction…we hope!

American Horror Story: Delicate is based on the book Delicate Condition, and it will likely feature many of the book's storylines. This season follows Emma Roberts' character, Anna Alcott, an actress who wants to conceive a child with her husband, Dexter Harding. Kim Kardashian also appears in the season as Anna's publicist Siobhan. While AHS: Delicate will not be an exact adaptation of the novel, the original story helps predict what will happen next in the show.
