About this deal

Hardy, who directed four episodes, and Marcela Said and Nima Nourizadeh who did two a piece, have crafted a follow up to Gareth Evans and Matt Flannery’s creation that is in keeping with the first but brings something new to table throughout. It’s a great story with real emotional depth that does justice to new and returning characters. And thank goodness. Gangs of London is one of the best British shows on TV: epic, ambitious and international in a way Brit TV often is not, but without ever compromising character or story. And there’s plenty of avenues left to explore for a third season. With a follow up this good there’s no way it’s the end for these gangs. The answer, take away everything he values, starting with his position in the streets and that's what Elliot (Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù) means to do. But not everyone is happy about this. By the end of the season allegiances have been made and lost and the bodies have piled up. So who’s left? Luan Sky took its sweet time to green-light a third season of Gangs of London, and while we don't yet have a release date, we do know that production has started with a new creative team. Next we see Billy (Brian Vernel), bound and laying on the ground, his bloody stump bleeding slowly into the plastic bag covering it. A tourniquet is the only thing preventing him from bleeding out. The scene cuts to his tattooed limb resting on the table in plain sight of Sean and Marian.

It took two years for Gangs of London season two to be released following the first season. The large-scale production and cinematic quality undoubtedly played a massive part in the long wait. You wouldn’t want to be a henchperson of any denomination in Gangs of London, and season two ups the bodycount while maintaining the palpable tension and twisty plot audiences will be expecting. And don’t assume your favorite returning characters are safe either. There is a meeting of the gangs, all the major factions are seated around a table. Elliot walks in as his last conversation with Sean can be heard over the present goings-on.

The only looming question we have is whether Joe Cole will return as Sean Wallace; Elliot shot him in the cheek under instruction from The Investors, and we later overheard from police chatter that Sean was dead. Asif Afridi has been pushed out of chief position as the head of the all London gangs, while Lale was betrayed by lover Sean and handed over to Mr Afridi to meet her death. Ahead of the UK release date, Sky released a new red band trailer teasing some of the brutal action sequences and establishing the new way that things have changed in London.Billy’s got one arm, Sean is in prison, having been left hanging, perched on a car tire by Elliot. It’s not clear what he’s in for – his crimes are many, but what he’ll have admitted to is another matter. He certainly poisoned Koba whose body is there at the scene. So for now, Sean’s out of the running, but he’s such a huge part of the show we can’t imagine him not having a big part to play in season 3. Will he wheedle his way out? Will he form a new faction in prison? Or will he find that he suddenly has to grow humility from behind bars where he’s no longer the big man?Doubt it… The Allegiances Whatever happens in season three, expect the focus on the diversity of the titular setting to continue.

Gangs of London season 3 potential release date, cast, plot, trailer and everything you need to know Elliot is not the only one who's out for revenge. Koba (Waleed Zuaiter) means to kill Saba (Jahz Armando) for helping Elliot in his foiled assassination attempt of him and Sean. The first season transported us to a version of London that was ruled by a group of international gangs. When the head of one of the city's most influential families was assassinated, his youngest son, Finn Wallace (Joe Cole) jumped at the chance to arrest control over the growing power struggle. The van, however, is in the possession of Shannon Dumani (Pippa Bennett-Warner). She takes it to Ed (Lucian Msamati) claiming that with it the Dumani's could take control without the need for Marian or the Wallaces. She uses her son Danny and the memory of Alex (Paapa Essiedu) to convince Ed who isn't sure.

Sean, with his last few gasping breaths attempts to manipulate Elliot by telling him that his father would be proud and it kind of works. We expected the blood, the entrails, even the snipped-off digits and the loss of limbs. However, what we didn't expect was that major Elliot Finch twist.
