Grudge was created by writer/producer Jenny Lumet. Lumet based Grudge on a Pekingese dog, Nelly, that belonged to her grandmother, Lena Horne. Horne used to keep Nelly in the sleeve of her kimono. According to Lumet, Nelly " never did anything." [1] This is literally the best thing ever and I need to own it yesterday. While there's no story, it's basically just recreations of famous scenes, but who cares? There are awesomely drawn cats. As Trek characters. What more do you need in life? Hopefully, Ms. Parks will have sequels with Next Gen and all the other incarnations of ST, and possibly some other fandoms. Buffy cats? OMG, I needz it! I'll try to add some pictures later if I don't procrastinate too long. As the first episode actually telecast, the opening credits are slightly different from most other first season shows. Gene Roddenberry has "created by" credits and there is no "starring" before William Shatner's name. This version of the credits was used only once more, in " Charlie X". Star Trek Cats is exactly what the title promises. It's Star Trek scenes drawn with cats. It even contains an episode list so you know where the cat-ified scenes came from. It's the original Star Trek and not Next Generation, so no Picard (though I bet he would make a nice Sphinx) Sulu's botanical collection was much more lavish in Johnson's original script, including a plant resembling the face of a Chinese dog, etc. This was eliminated for budgetary reasons, Beauregard remaining the only moving "exotic plant". The costume of the M-113 creature was designed by Wah Chang. Chang used a modified gas mask as the creature's mouth.
