Because most people use tablets for things where they simply want a bigger screen and better viewing experience and that’s where the mediocre display restricts the tab’s capabilities. Also, the older and sluggish software experience further makes things worse for this tablet. On the contrary side, the 4GB RAM and a decent octa-core processor make up for it.
TCL's tablet scored 448 and 1,688 on the Geekbench 5 single-core and multi-core tests, respectively, while the Nuu Tab reached 123 and 526 on those same tests. The Lenovo Tab P11 Plus beat the TCL on the single-core test with 500, but fell slightly behind on the multi-core test with 1,592. While there have been some ‘bells and whistles’ removed to keep that price down you’re not really going to miss much. And the inclusion of a case and stylus pen is a nice surprise and something we’d like more manufacturers to follow doing. We also tried a couple of games on the device, lightweight games like Subway surfer, Ludo King etc ran pretty smoothly, however, the tab struggled a bit to run triple-A titles like CoD Mobile, Battlegrounds Mobile India on highest graphics settings. Talking about the display, the tab comes with a 10.36-inch display. It's an average display. The colour reproduction is average and details are also not up to the mark. Viewing angles too aren’t that great. Considering it is a tablet, most people will be spending the most time watching content, reading, browsing. It becomes a mandatory to have at least a decent display. We don’t have an issue with Android 10, but for the asking price, the latest software would have made a lot of difference. Also, TCL has not confirmed anything about the tablet receiving the Android 11 update in future. Also, it isn’t the smoothest among the tablet devices in this price range. TCL TAB 10 4G also includes Facial Recognition, Google Assistant, an optional Bluetooth Keyboard and Flip Case, making it super practical to install for video calls. We have to agree that despite the unspecified processor, the TCL 10 Tab Max offers a good price to performance ratio. The 4GB RAM and octa-core processor with Mali G72 GPU offer mixed performance here.
