About this deal

I was always ready for such offerings. Bernard Matthews, whoever he was, was a kind man who provided me with a generous vehicle for mayonnaise. I used to sprinkle cayenne pepper on top for added oomph. My broccoli was only welcome if it arrived in butter and garlic. I don’t remember my mum being one to write to food companies to moan about flavour profiles, but for whatever reason, Vesta had wronged her to the point of doing so.

Frying fresh at home will yield especially delicious crispy noodles. In this post, we’ll show you how—with either egg noodles, wonton wrappers, or egg roll skins. An Appetizer of Days Past http://groceries.asda.com/asda-webstore/landing/home.shtml?cmpid=ahc-_-ghs-sna1-_-asdacom-dsk-_-hp#/product/14890698 If you’re not using fresh noodles, first boil your noodles. Boil them for around 2 minutes, so they are still al dente and don’t take on a mushy texture – too much moisture will lead to a disappointing crunch. A couple of weeks ago I found a group of Morrisons buyers, hanging around in the aisle that contained the Vesta meals, only Chow Mein was on the shelves. I asked them why no Beef Risotto ? They said :- "We were just talking about that", they promised to try and get some, but thought it may have been discontinued. It was, I suppose, my first experience of food writing. Every Wednesday afternoon, after The Simpsons on Channel 4, we would sit down on our small pink sofa to examine whatever Vesta had sent to us, and then head to the dining table to indulge. There was a beef curry, a beef risotto, some sort of paella situation, I think. None were what they said they were—this was horrendous food but fun, granting us cause to explore the bizarrest of ingredients lists. Only the chow mein made any real sense. Vesta was before my time but I often have some noodle products in the cupboard for the occation when you can't be bothered with anything else.

I would have thought they were similar to the chow mein and just shallow fried strips of pasta rather than actual noodle. Well yes, there are versions of crispy noodles. Not sure what type of noodles Vesta used but you can deep fry egg noodles, rice noodles etc. to crisp them up.ounces fresh uncooked egg noodles (can substitute 5 egg roll wrappers or 20 egg wonton skins, cut into 1×4 inch strips)
