About this deal

Do not be put off by the legacy element of Zombie Kidz Evolution. Hours, upon hours of family fun can be had with this superb board game that has been a massive hit with our three boys. We really do recommend it! Zombie Kidz Evolution is a game that will evolve and grow richer with each game you play, and each feat you accomplish. In time, you’ll gain new powers, but the zombies will become more ferocious as well… The special powers complemented each other quite well, which is great because while using the special powers you’re forced to add two zombies on your turn instead of one. This really changed the math and meant that at the end of your turn you needed to make sure there were at least two zombies available to be placed. Roll the dice and add a zombie card to the board area matching the dice colour (5 board areas, 5 colours on the dice and one blank, which means no zombie that turn)

Board gamer parents, especially ones with experience playing games like Pandemic: Legacy or The Rise of Queendale, can make some guesses as to what might be contained in these envelopes, but your kids will likely be surprised and delighted. Moreover, you can mix and match the rules as you see fit, making the game easier or harder for the heroes. This high level of scalability makes Zombie Teenz Evolution not only very replayable by the same group, but highly suitable to be shared with a wide range of player types. Art and Components The Walking Dead: All Out War: The infamous characters of Robert Kirkman's comic book series wage miniature war across an undead-filled battlefield. Now its creator has returned with follow-up Zombie Teenz Evolution, and while there’s plenty here to appeal to fans of its predecessor, it also comes with a collection of new twists and challenges. Where Kidz’ action unfolded in the confines of a besieged school, Teenz widens its scope with a board showing a grid of city streets. You and your friends will need to work together to venture into the zombie-plagued environment, retrieving supplies from buildings before the dead manage to force their way inside.Zombie Kidz evolution is a great addition to any collection and has already been followed up with a second instalment called Zombie Teenz evolution. So, what are you waiting for? Go grab your team of heroes and go smash some zombies! City of Horror knows it's not enough just to survive during the zombie apocalypse - we also need to establish a society. We won't be passing civic policies or nominating representatives, however; we'll be voting on who gets fed to the zeds.

Zombie Kidz Evolution is the first Legacy-style game I’m aware of that’s aimed at younger players. Though, thematically at least, it may seem that zombies are more suited to a more adult experience, in practice – and thanks to some beautifully colourful and appealingly kid-friendly graphic design work – it works just fine. Hit Z Road offers a starkly different gameplay experience compared to most zombie games. Every round players bid on which route they wish to take from a selection of cards that have much-needed resources - and oft-avoided zombie hordes. Ammo can be used to shoot zombies with little risk, while adrenaline is needed to avoid getting your passengers killed in the middle of a big fight. The Walking Dead: All Out War A miniatures war game set in Robert Kirkman's comic-book universe Drawing from the Walking Dead comics rather than the TV show, All Out War captures the series' struggle for survival. New heroes and powers are introduced to give you more resources, new types of zombies and Event Cards make sure that the stakes are constantly raised.I’d never played a legacy game before ripping the shrink wrap off Zombie Kidz Evolution. For those that aren’t aware a legacy game is one which changes as you play. They are generally not replayable as the game evolves quite dramatically over the course of the game. Despite being a popular mechanic, legacy game offerings are scarce on the market. A lot of the actions and mechanics are similar to Kidz but changed enough to make Teenz a distinct experience. After a long pause, Karina indicated that it was safe to continue and the four of them left the safety of the building and stopped to examine a scene they knew all too well: the playground of Mountain Oak Elementary School. In short, the designer and Iello Games took a fun experience and made it even better. Zombie Kidz Evolution boasts higher-quality artwork, pumped-up colors, better quality components, and the best gaming experience I’ve ever had with my kids. When I brought home and they got a glimpse of the new cover they were hooked! The bright splashes of colors are vibrant, with arresting 3-dimensional illustrations of a different crew of characters. Their eyes grew wide as we opened the box and extracted the contents, particularly The Zombie Hunters Guide. Zombie Kidz Evoluution is a great introductory legacy game. The low price means that it offsets the legacy elements slightly more than if the price were double or triple the RRP. For the price the components are great and the box is travel sized with slots in the plastic inlay that hold everything securely. The initial puzzle of the game is very beginner friendly, the colors are bright and the color-coded dice means that play is fast no matter the age level or experience of the players. The legacy elements keep the game interesting and build up the complexity slowly to allow the players to learn the rules in stages while increasing the challenge as they become more comfortable with the gameplay.Despite its small size, the fun components really help sell the theme. Equipping a little plastic chainsaw on your meeple before heading out to hunt some zeds is always fun, and who can resist placing their meeple in the little wooden police car before crashing into the hardware store? Tiny Epic Zombies isn't only one of the best Tiny Epic games, it also keeps up with its bigger siblings on this list. While the dice rolls are entirely random, the strategy lies in determining when to stop rolling and enjoy the brains you have. Dice come in three different levels of danger; holding onto a red die is practically begging for a shotgun blast to the face. If you accumulate three shotgun blasts before stopping, you have been sufficiently triple-tapped into oblivion. Don't get too greedy, we all want some piece of mind. All donations are gratefully received and will help me keep the lights on here – as well as help to keep my writing dream alive! City of Horror Beg your friends to let you live, then leave them to die In City of Horror, your friends can be just as deadly as the undead.
