About this deal

Make the refreshing effect of the TVE 100 a regular feature of your day. With the 12-hour timer which is programmable in increments of 1 hour, the air circulator switches on and off fully automatically when you start off into your day and when you’re welcomed home after a hard day’s work. On request you can add an invigorating scent to increase productivity at the workplace. Or relaxing flavours to take a break from everyday life. Well-being with a memory function There’s a neat LCD screen on the front that shows the setting as you tap buttons, but it shows the ambient temperature otherwise. It’s not overly bright and, when you turn the fan off, the screen dims further. It’s a shame that you can’t turn the screen off completely, as you can on other MeacoFan models: the option to do this on other MeacoFan models tends to be on the remote control, which you don’t get here. MeacoFan 360 Performance – Exceptionally powerful for such a small model The 650 is essentially a petite version of the 1056 and it shares many of that model’s features, including 12 fan speeds, DC technology for low noise levels (from 20dB) and inexpensive running costs. We would have loved to have seen full vertical oscillation as featured on the 1056, but beggars can’t be choosers and, besides, the horizontal oscillation it provides is perfectly adequate for a fan of this size. This machine is capable of reducing interior ambient temperatures by as much as 8˚C. That might not sound like much, but even a two or three degree reduction can make a big difference. So how does it work? Warm air is drawn into the unit and passed over a wet honeycomb, causing the water to evaporate and lose heat. This cooled, moisturised air is then blown out into the room. Simple innit?

The best fans can be a lifesaver for coping with warmer weather because let’s face it, no one wants to contend with balmy bedrooms or sweltering home offices if they can help it. And we know that perhaps the weather is winding down to more autumnal climes now, but simply shifting some of the stuffy air around your room can be the difference between a happy home and a hot home. Do you know the problem? In flats with a high ceiling, draughty areas and rooms full of nooks and crannies the heated air cannot reach every section of the room, which consequently leaves quite a few unpleasantly cold spots. The permanently installed heating system can be running at full blast and still your feet are cold. In summer you’re facing a similar situation when the cool air of the air conditioning system is not perceptible pleasantly to the same extent everywhere in the room. For our money, though, nothing cools the body quite like a water-based air cooler. These appliances are cheaper than portable air-con systems and are a lot more energy efficient. The best fan you can buy today is the Dyson Pure Cool (TP04). A fan and air purifier in one, this Dyson fan is a must-have for hot days, filtering humid air and much more. The KitchenAid 2.1L Food Processor offers unrivalled power and sharp knife skills… here’s T3’s full review Keep collections to yourself or inspire other shoppers! Also consider settings – higher speed settings can create a cooler temperature – and features. Do you want an oscillating head and tilt action for more flexibility? Do you need a timer? Or remote control? Or even wi-fi? Finally, bladeless fans are a good call if you’ve got kids and can be easier to clean. Fan performance: Shifts a lot of air fast, working brilliantly close up and even at range, which is impressive given how small the fan is. If you need more cooling power, you’ve still got it. At the top speed we measured airflow at 2.7m/sec, with a noise level of just 42dB. You’ve got a choice of touch-sensitive controls on the fan itself and a slightly cheap-feeling remote, while the efficient DC motor keeps power consumption to between 2W and 8.1W. While not as powerful as the Dimplex Xpelair 360 or the MeacoFan 360, this is the fan to go for if you prize your peace and quiet above all else. The top model in the range, the MeacoFan 1056, has horizontal and vertical oscillation for whole-room air circulation; as with the MeacoFan 650, the 360 can be angled vertically up or down manually but has side-to-side oscillation. You shouldn’t underestimate the virtues of a quiet fan, and this one is great for setting up beside your laptop to stay comfortable during work zoom calls, with a whisper-quiet set of blades in a smart-looking body that delivers a supremely quiet operation.” GQ MagazineIt's also a very handy fan, mustering up a decent breeze, but remaining quiet up to about the 60 percent power setting. At higher speeds, there is a bit of a whoosh, as you'd imagine. Turning up the speed also increases air purifying power, but there's also an Auto mode that reacts to potent guffs of microparticles and gases.

While it’s one of the taller tower fans we’ve tested, it’s worth making room for Levoit’s 36-inch Tower Fan. Look beyond the two-part plastic base and it’s a well-built unit with no hint of wobble, with stylish and straightforward touch controls on the top panel. It also has some useful advanced features, including an Auto mode that adjusts the speed according to the room temperature, and a Sleep mode that will do its best to keep you cool while staying quiet. There’s also a Turbo mode for some extra speed, plus a simple one to 12-hour off timer. However, what we like most about this tower fan is that it offers an efficient and economical way to cool a larger area. It pushes through air at speeds of up to 3.2m/sec at the highest of its five speed settings, or 3.3m/sec in Turbo mode. True, it’s a little loud when maxed out, at 44.4 to 45.2dB, but on its next to lowest setting you can still hit speeds of 2.1m/sec, with the noise reduced to around 32dB. On its lower settings it uses only around 20W as well. Throw in the competitive price, and you have a great tower fan for bigger rooms.
