An initial blast of strong citrus smell in the opening, which smells almost exactly like freshly squeezed lemon juice. I’m always skeptical when people say “just let it macerate and it’ll fix all your problems”, but in this case, the harsh alcohol opening dissipated and the notes blended together more smoothly after giving the oils time to blend into the alcohol. Armaf ships these things out with zero time to macerate unlike higher-end brands so keep that in mind when you buy a new batch. I personally like that the EDT is sharper and more rugged than my old bottles of Aventus, but this LE version presents a more pleasing fruity profile that I will probably reach for more when it's hotter outside.
