Makes great coffee and very easy to use. I was a little worried that it wouldn’t heat the milk up to a high temperature, but no problems there as you can heat it up to have a piping hot coffee if you want to. My only issue is every time you switch it in or off, it does a self clean and hot water is dispensed each time. I now just leave our milk jug under the tap, otherwise you are continually emptying the drip tray. Also this means it’s using the water from the machine so you are forever having to top the water up. Apart from that it makes fantastic coffee, and you can easily taylor the strength of the coffee to suit you. It makes Lungo, Cappuccino and Latte with ease. Another advantage of the platform on the whole and the Delonghi ECAM 22.110 in particular is that when the steam supply is activated (using a separate button), the machine automatically drains off surplus water from the steam circuit to the lower drip tray during the first few seconds of heating. This means that when milk is frothed, it is saved from being spoiled by water. Reported Issues Another similar model is the ECAM23210B. The design is so similar to the improved 23.420 (see above) that they look identical when not in operation. The irony is that despite this, it is actually less functional. The DeLonghi Intensa ECAM23.420 is a countertop espresso machine that offers both convenience and versatility. With a large water tank capacity of 1.7 liters, this coffee maker allows for multiple cups of coffee to be brewed before needing to refill. Alongside the display, a sound signal when pressing a button (which I personally consider an unnecessary option that can be switched off in the settings) and wake-up timer have been added. From functionality point of view, I have no doubt, but you mentioned that Delonghi makes a more “bitter” coffee and that’s the reason for my hesitation…
