About this deal

Jo is obviously operating a button with her index finger on the time sensor in episode one to make the prop spin as it "detects" the Doctor's TARDIS.

According to the comprehensive production documentation released in 2023 as part of the 'Season 9 Blu Ray Collection', when Sloman was commissioned to write the final six part story for the season in May 1971, it was titled "The Daleks in London". By December 1971, the idea had been abandoned and Sloman's contract was amended to write "The Time Monster". [1]

Below is a list of the alien races featured in Doctor Who (in order of appearance)

The Doctor explains that if the frequency of the two TARDISes is too high, even by a fraction, a time ram will occur, resulting in utter annihilation. This does not dissuade Jo, so they take off, in pursuit of the Master.

Jo hears the Doctor calling to her, along with many other whispering voices. He explains they are his subconscious thoughts and tells her not to listen too closely. The TARDIS is relaying his thoughts to Jo; she follows his instructions and pulls a red handle on the third control panel, allowing the TARDIS to pull the Doctor out of the Vortex. The Master tries to hypnotise Dalios but fails. He is sent away, and to his surprise sees the Doctor and Jo being brought to the king. The Doctor and Jo meet the king, and Jo is brought to Galleia. It is also shown that he takes care of his Patients and is keen to care for them and keep them alive, as evidenced by the Patient hidden behind a curtain that he tries to save him by all means. Additionally, the Doctor appears to stay hygienic, as he washes his hands after doing his activity (although the water tap is shown to be not connected to any water source). The Doctor also giggles occasionally while performing his duties. In over 50 years, the world's longest-running sci-fi series has introduced us to hundreds of weird and wonderful creatures - but which is the best? The appearance of holes on the ceilings of many rooms throughout the Hospital imply that the Doctor primarily travels by crawling upside-down. However, not all of the rooms have holes in the ceiling, suggesting the Doctor either does in fact walk on his feet at times or is no longer able to enter certain rooms on account of his bizarre anatomy. Many years ago, a war raged between humans and monsters for 100 years. With both sides exhausted and unable to remember why the war began, peace broke out and now humans and monsters live in harmony. Dr. Glenn Litbeit, a human, specializes in treating monsters with his lamia assistant, Saphentite "Sapphee" Neikes. After conducting an examination on a female minotaur, which reveals her pregnancy, Glenn is asked by his mentor Dr. Cthulhy Squele, a Scylla, to conduct physical exams on fighters at the city arena. One of the fighters is Tisalia Scythia, a centaur who is the sole heiress of Scythia Transportation. During the examination, she expresses a wish to marry someone like Glenn, which makes Sapphee jealous. Tisalia has not won a battle in over a month, but Glenn finds nothing medically wrong with her. After a while, he finally realizes her belief that her body is already perfect meant she never allowed herself to be fitted with steel shoes and her hooves have worn unevenly, unbalancing her. Despite her protests, Glenn has new shoes fitted and she starts winning battles again. Glenn wonders if Cthulhy was testing how he would deal with a difficult patient. This story has the dubious distinction of being ranked as Doctor Who Magazine readers' least favourite Third Doctor story in all four of their major polls, in 1998, 2009, 2014, and 2023. ( DWM 590)
