But then, well, things just got predictable. I will be the first to admit that Me Before You moved me to tears, so I was really looking forward to this story. There was beautiful women and handsome men and a picture perfect love story where everyone just adores everyone's flaws; you know the type.
Understandably he is not keen on letting himself love anyone else and works hard at isolating himself from relationships, all the while trying to alter the future by subtely warning his friends and family to avoid certain activities, places or actions or by taking matters into his own hands to change their paths and avoid that foreseen destiny. My sweetest girl, stop worrying and relax a bit. Have a cozy night and sleep well. Sending lots of love and kisses for my one and only. so him "knowing" that she will die and making her aware of it directly contributed to her actually dying. Such a great premise for a book- nothing perhaps new but told so well that it feels real from the outset.

This book is beautifully written. I loved the many thoughtful descriptions that Miller used. It felt fresh. As for the characters, they were all wonderfully written too. I particularly connected with Joel. And as for the story, well, it's an excellent idea. If you're wanting a love story with a difference, this is the book for you. I thought the ending was done well, although it's not the ending you want. It is a tear jerker, but what made me the most sad was the decision Joel made regarding his and Callie's future. I wanted him to choose differently. I felt that after that point I wanted to rush through to see what happened, and sometimes it felt like the story was coasting. Did Joel make the right decision? I don't know. I keep thinking about this, which means even though I've finished the book the story has stayed with me. Definitely thought-provoking, and yes, highly recommended. The day I will get to wake up next to you will be one of my dreams come true. I want to love you till the last day of my life. Good night, my princess. My life will become complete when every night ends with us cuddling together. May your dreams be wonderful, dear. I love you so much. A very emotional story that asks an interesting question. How would you live your life if you knew what would happen to your loved ones? To what extent do we forget about ourselves to surrender to Love without expecting nothing in return?! Is love unconditional or… some sort of commercial trading?! A Giving always conditioned by some eager Taking?!… Sonha com promoções, gravidezes, golpes de sorte, cortes de cabelo, compras no supermercado, lidas domésticas, almoços, jantares, desporto, etc, etc… Brilliant. A beautiful love story that I will remember for a long time. Joe and Callie’s story had me near to tears. This was a lovely way to spend a rainy afternoon. I just want to sit down and read it again. So if you know something bad is going to happen to the person you love, can you stay together and make the best of things even if you are on borrowed time? Joel is heartbroken as he knows her fate. Callie doesn’t want to know what is to come. Would you? I’ve just finished reading this book and I’m in absolute bits! I couldn’t put it down as I was so desperate to find out what happened to Callie and Joel.
