The Bissell StainPro 6 is a carpet cleaner designed to remove tough stains and deep dirt from carpets, rugs and upholstery. Frustratingly, the screws are different sizes (Phillips No2 and Phillips No1, as you’re asking…) so you need two screwdrivers. The upper carrier also required some gentle persuasion with a heavy object to clip into place. Setup wasn’t exactly stress-free. Replace the lid of the tank to its bottom. The lid is safely attached when the tank can be lifted entirely by its handle.

However, in many cases, the machine may still fail to spray after the step above and may force you to further take the following actions.

The StainPro 6 includes a 3” Tough Stain Tool, and a Crevice Tool, for use with the attachment hose. While nothing folds for storage, the StainPro 10 does keep its cable, hose and even its spot-cleaning tool on-board. No complaints with those parts either, since the cable is a whopping 9 metres long and there’s plenty of reach from the 2.5-metre hose. The next is preparing the carpet cleaner and filling it with water. When cleaning your carpet, use the available options, such as light clean, water clean, and normal clean. This particular model of carpet cleaner has a bold defining feature in the form of the HeatWave tech. It’s quite clever in that it takes the heat from the motor and redirects it through a specially placed vent beneath the water tank. Only the tank-within-a-tank design raised any issues, being difficult to judge remaining clean fluid when the dirty water level rises. So all in all, performance is outstanding. If the goal of a carpet cleaner is to get rid of dirt, this succeeds impressively.With the addition of the edge cleaning brushes, it really comes together to create a thorough cleaning solution.
