This book also had laugh-out-loud moments, and Neil Gaiman is a master of intrigue, piquing the curiosity. He has walled off passages and old keys. His character is told not to go someplace, essentially daring the reader to explore. His prose is delicious, non-pretentious, but subtly brilliant.

Carry on aficionados will have already noted that Caroline Frost’s book Carry On Regardless Getting to the Bottom of Britain’s Favourite Comedy Films (2022) takes part of its name from the fifth of this British comedy film franchise. The Carry on… film series was an impressive thirty-one stand-alone British film comedies released over five decades from 1958 to 1992. It wasn’t the kind of rain you could go out in, it was the other kind, the kind that threw itself down from the sky and splashed where it landed. It was rain that meant business.” I love the familiarity of the setting, the people, and things like Pa’s fiddle, the shepherdess, the delaine. If you’re already familiar with the Ingalls’ story, then you’ll smile when you read about these things too. If this is your first time reading anything-Ingalls, I hope that one thing you take away from this is that the author has obviously researched well and loves this subject matter. I should point out, just to be clear, that this story is historical fiction but that it is based on tons of research. The Author’s Note is exceptionally interesting. So there you go. You don't really need me to tell you how I feel about one of Gaiman's books at this point. You know I love his writing.

She is very busy most of the time, and sometimes a little inattentive, but she loves and cares about Coraline. Coraline considers her to be rather boring. This story aptly stresses how professionally the cast often masked their often troubled lives. This true story and more tragic and controversial events in the cast’s lives were also relayed, but not analysed and this showed great respect from the author to her subjects. The Baby Group: a gripping crime thriller with a twist you

This is creepy and exciting and beautifully written and filled with wonderful characters and settings and scenes. I love Neil Gaiman, as of recently, and I most especially love Coraline (both book and character). I love it enough to read it multiple times, and also read the graphic novel at least once (possibly more), and also see the movie several times over (including in theaters with my whole family, including my very very small and very very scared brother). I have to say that I loved the themes in this book! I think they’ll really push readers (especially children) to think about the choices they make in life and to appreciate what they have. Not only that, even though Coraline experiences much fear, she must find a way to be brave and fight for what belongs to her. She’s actually very wise for her age and we just loved her. Read by the author - woohoo! As much as I grumble about some of his books, there's no denying that he's absolutely fabulous to listen to - this man could read a grocery list and I'd give it a listen. Basically this book was great and If you want a creepy book with interesting story then I recommend you to read this book. This tells the story of Caroline, Ma from the Little House on the Prairie books starting at the point where Charles tells Caroline he has had an offer on the little house and land in Wisconsin. And then comes the second part of the plan. Taking the still young Mary and Laura, they will leave Caroline’s brother’s family and other relatives and head for Kansas to settle. The impact of this move ion Caroline is apparent. Leaving family and all that is familiar is a huge wrench for her, but she loves her husband deeply and knows this is his dream.
