The last card which can prevent a player from winning is the challenge card, this is played at any point to challenge an action from another player when played both players roll a dice to determine if the card is played or not, often with the challenger having a roll advantage. The Review

Item cards must be equipped to a Hero card when they are played. This is done by sliding the item card underneath a Hero card. Only one Item card can be equipped at a time. If a Hero card is destroyed, stolen, or returned to your hand, the same is done to the Item card. Magic Cards: The rest of the cards will need shuffling and placed in the middle of players face down, which also act as the draw pile. Here to Slay Rules Item cards are enchanted weapons and objects that can be equipped to your heroes to bestow them with special advantages and skills. Most items give beneficial effects and are meant to be equipped to heroes in your own party, but a handful of items, called cursed items, can be equipped to enemy heroes to give them disadvantages.The second condition on the monster determines if the kill is successful or not, the monster will have a value required to kill it, along with a value which can result in bad things to happen to that player, anything in between has no effect. (For example, an 8+ roll is a successful roll and a 5- is a failed roll) Kill three unique monsters, and you win the game!

Players compete to create the best roster of characters possible to take down assorted monsters while sabotaging other players to hinder their chances of victory too. Each of you will roll the two dice. If you score higher or equal to, then you win the challenge, and the player must discard the card they were attempting to play. If they roll higher or equal to you, then they win and may continue with their turn.

Challenge cards are used to stop another player from playing a Hero card, Item card, or Magic card. When a player begins to play any of these cards, you may play a Challenge card. The challenge is then initiated. The artwork on this game is fantastic. You can’t help but fall in love with some of the adorable characters represented. My personal favourite being fuzzy Cheeks the Squirrel Bard! How Does the Game Play?Rolling the 2 dice so you can use a Hero’s effect that’s in your hand (can only be done once per turn). Players will need to shuffle the Monster card pile too, give them a good shuffle and draw the top 3 cards to put face-up in the middle of players.
