About this deal

The film was first scheduled to be released in March 2021 but was postponed due to COVID-19 pandemic. The film was theatrically released on 11 March 2022. [2] This is done on a tiny budget but that can go a long way now. There's some projection, I think, because that's got to be cheaper than a trailer. There's what appears to be a CG road sign because that's probably now also cheaper than location. Efficiency is no bad thing. While it handles some weight of subject like its white whale of a conveyance it keeps it moving along lightly through the dark. Indeed, for all the turns it's the two central - AJ Bowen as rideshare driver Russel, and Sophie Dalah's Charlotte - that convey us best. He, older, sufficiently on his uppers to be using a pristine Porsche Cayenne SUV in the app-driven gig economy, she, younger, sufficiently irreverent and Australian to call him Rusty and be less perturbed by blood. Meanwhile, a senior politician (Siddique) is set to be searched and questioned by the NIA in a gold smuggling case the next day. How are the two stories linked and who is the accident victim holding the two threads together forms the rest of the thriller. Watch for animals, especially in rural areas. Animals crossing the road can be especially dangerous at night. It can be very difficult to see animals ahead of you on poorly-lit roads when driving at high speeds and crashes involving large animals like deer can be deadly or cause major damage (for the driver, animal, and car). Stay vigilant when you're in places where deer or other animals are likely to cross the road (like rural areas). Pay attention to any animal crossing signs posted near the road and lower your speed appropriately. Additionally, be aware that most deer-related accidents occur in the late fall and early winter (though they can happen year-round). Story: Roping in the State's recent infamous gold smuggling case, the film looks at corruption, love and betrayal It’s not possible to drive yourself around the park at night and because the vehicle you’re in is the only one on the road, you’ll come across an unusual array of animals which have settled, undisturbed, in the middle of the road. What you actually see depends on the vegetation in the particular part of the park that you’re in and what crosses your path at the time.

And while the movie seems like a pretty straightforward trip from Point A to Point B, the story takes quite the detour in act three, which completely changes the entire film. The twist comes up suddenly and very unexpectedly, and most of all, knowing the ending makes any rewatch of the film take a really different route. With some fun travel companions, driving tension, and an enjoyable u-turn into the realm of sci-fi, NIGHT DRIVE takes the viewer on an unexpected road trip, which will hopefully make this film a new option for holiday horror. That's not the twist. I could mention Stalker, but it's perhaps more like Nightcrawler. I could reference Mulholland Drive, but the mystery box is more like Ronin. Indeed, if any film might serve as primer for the explosive revelations to mention it might be to give away elements, and twist isn't right. On night drives, a Kruger Park game ranger drives you around and provides very interesting commentary about the vegetation and animals that you come across. You can ask the ranger any questions that you may have too. The ranger will also give spotlights to passengers in the vehicle. They use them to scan the bush for animal eyes reflecting in the light.

Throughout the disc, instruments fire at odd angles. Drums get fuzzed and dirty; pianos sound distant like they’ve been taken from other discs and thrown into positions that one would not expect to work. Yet they give Williams a contemporary feel, neither fake nor forced. Rather than suffering from the sheen of modernity, the songs feel at home in the context. On one such drive our way was barred by sets of eyes. As we got closer the owners of the eyes were revealed to us – a family of hyenas!

If you see an animal ahead of you, the smartest move is usually not to swerve. While it may be your first instinct, swerving is actually the leading cause of injuries and fatalities from deer-related accidents. Instead, lower your speed as much as you can by pressing the brakes and allow your car to hit the animal. While her best-known work is characterised by rich and honest songwriting inspired by the greats, Williams has continually been able to evolve as an artist because she’s always looked outside of such boundaries. She continues to listen and learn while, at the same time, writing with a fiery spirit and a sense of adventure that has never once wilted. The collection explores a more filmic sound, with a larger ensemble of instrumentation, particular emphasis on the strings and production from Ed Harcourt. Bowen and Dalah have worked together before, in another Brad Baruh picture, the similarly bisyllabic Dead Night. That titular familiarity is extended by the fact that there's some half dozen or more shorts called Night Drive though they too run a thematic gamut. So too Michael McQuilken's score, which manages to support tonal shifts quite ably. There are also songs by Stargunn, a project of Shooter (son of Waylon) Jennings. The country-ish vibe serves at times as a reminder that there's little more West than the City of Angels, and often not much more wild. There are some nice lines, someone is described as "resourceful and kind of deviant" and given opportunity to demonstrate both. The passage of time is discussed, past lives and events occurring when someone was "just a zygote". There's an important house which looks familiar, but that's probably because it's a particular kind of structure. Less deja vu than not being able to visit the same ranch home twice. Slow down. As a general rule, night driving requires slower speeds than daytime driving. Because visibility is much lower at nighttime than during the day (even on well-lit urban roads), it takes longer to see and react to traffic hazards, pedestrians, and other obstacles. Since you can't control the types of hazards you'll encounter on your drive but you can control your driving, your smartest move is simply to drive slower, giving yourself more time to react to any problems you come across. You'll never want to "out-drive" your headlights — that is, to drive so fast that you can't stop within the distance illuminated by your headlights in front of you.
