I’ll always remember the moment I turned town Shark Tank’s toughest judge, Kevin O’Leary,” Aaron remembers. “He made me an offer for 50 per cent of the company and I looked him in the eye and said, ‘Okay, you’re out’. It was priceless.” One night, my wife and I were watching Shark Tank, when I realised that I’d be crazy not to go on the show,” he says. “I filled out an application form and after two months of intense preparation, I was on set in Los Angeles filming for the fourth season. Aaron started using a new material, urethane foam, to polish cars. Unsatisfied with the existing buffing pads on the market, he decided to apply for his first patent.

Fast-forward to 2008 and Aaron sold his buffing pad business to the world’s largest manufacturing company, 3M, with one exception. “They had no interest in my original patented products, so they removed Scrub Daddy from the deal and bought the rest,” he says.
