About this deal

I didn't do anything idle during the week when I introduced myself here with my first construction reports. v=3 and in the movie the first shot of the Falcon after they've landed inside the asteroid cave is the 5-footer with the lights on.

The nice thing about the kit you have is the panel decals already have the look of chips and scratches etc so will still look decent. The cables will be extended here later and new small plugs will be soldered on, because I did not build the control unit and the loudspeaker into the model, but into the diorama. You've probably been watching videos on YouTube, these are the most accessible and there's quite a few on there with some good tips. The link I have pated below starts at page 151, as the first load of pages are before the model is even released. The next reason is that the chippings taken from the film and adopted by Bandai in the decals are way too coarse for this scale in my opinion. Auch als Italiener kann ich nicht anders, als zu sehen, dass es die gleiche Größe wie eine Pizza hat 🍕 . The different colored plates are supposed to give the impression in the film that Han and Chewi are repairing the falcon with all sorts of spare parts that they got from a junkyard.

This is based on some film scenes, where he flies through the interior of the not yet finished Death Star, for example. The Millennium Falcon complements the Perfect Grade Series, Bandai's flagship line of ultra-detailed plastic model kits. The unique curved engine consists of light guiding parts that recreate the way the engine would light up in the movie. The kit offers a choice between plastic and etched pieces to create the mesh vent grills, allowing for a more in-depth recreation. I like the fact that the new Hasbro REBEL falcon seem to be a combo of the best of both 32" and 5 ft version.

The “32 incher” never had actual landing GEAR added to it for ESB…at least none that was seen in the unmodified OT. The art of these surfaces, which consist of many individual panels, is to emphasize them differently.

Dozens of people post their various build pictures on there, the discussion of what color paints to use, all sorts of modifications that have been tried from replacement lighting, to 5 leg landing gear mods. If you're using reference for your models you need to spend a bit of time to determine details so you can tell which model your reference is from.

But that’s why I didn’t understand why parts of the inner ship can only be seen in one of the larger holes and I filled the other holes with leftovers from the rummage box and styrene. They were added to the miniatures, the set ship, and matte painting in ESB, and this full complement of hull boxes showed up in all seen manifestations of the Falcon in ROTJ. Between ANH and TESB, the 5-footer also had a series of lights added to the lower hull following the perimeter of the saucer and two lights added to the front of the lower jawbox. I am in the middle of building this now, and I think I will probably paint it fully assembled, although being a bandai kit, it push fits together, but the fit is so snug that there is a danger of damaging the part when trying to prise them apart.
