Just add 25ml of Mix to Tomato Juice for a delicious Virgin Mary and then add Gin/Vodka for the perfect Bloody Mary. So, you can have confidence that, whether it’s brunch at home with mates, impressing a new special friend, or in pursuit of hangover salvation, when you use Bloody Bens Bloody Mary Mix it’ll be anything but ordinary. Following our Perfect Serve suggestion, each bottle helps make 12 Bloody Marys but you can of course use more or less of the mix. For a long time we've been serious fans of Black Cow Vodka, a Vodka made from Milk and Cheese Making!

The distillery has now expanded from being a side project in a cabinet at the Earlsfield Canteen, to grow with demand with a beautiful 30ltr copper still which has pride of place at the rear of the venue. Our signature gin is a London Dry but it’s got a distinctive honey and orange taste that sets it apart from countless gins with more “traditional” flavour profiles.The fact it is purely the spice mix in a bottle is great as it will last for many drinks and I only need to add tomato juice.
The Bloody Mary Mix was created and perfected at Ben’s Canteen, a neighbourhood hangout in SW London which was famous for Brunch. The Mix was borne out of a frustration that Bloody Marys are generally badly made and don't taste great. It started with Bloody Bens Bloody Mary Mix, which was created at Ben's Canteen (RIP), neighbourhood restaurants in SW London that were famous for Brunch. Just the right amount of spice, although in my opinion, the spicier the better, so you can always add more.Unfortunately I wasn’t in to meet Ben but he hand delivered the bottle and gave lots of useful tips, and I’m now looking forward to marinading chicken in it! Generally speaking Bloody Marys are badly made, whether it’s in the pub or at home, they’re normally a bit meh. Of course, we’ll still be making our Bloody Mary Mix but the intention with Bloody Bens has always been to make more products that are anything but ordinary. Now we've launched our spiced tomato juice - this makes it even easier to enjoy a perfect Bloody Mary!
No more having to remember to have tomato juice in the house, now you just need to decide if you're going to add booze or not. Ben’s Canteen there is designed to be a brilliant neighbourhood hangout and having Gin produced onsite seems, to us at least, to be a great extension of that. And not having booze in it means you can experiment, for example Gin is a bloody delicious alternative to using Vodka. Award winning Black Cow is made entirely by using up whey from grass-grazed cow's milk left over from the cheese-making process. It lasts 3-6 Months once opened, whereas Bloody Marys that come with Tomato Juice only last 2-3 days.Pink gins are hugely popular right now, what do you think makes your SW19 release stand out from the crowd? I love that South West London has gin companies, makes a change from everything like this being so East London centric. That’s part of the reason our Gin is 43% (better for cocktails) and is a bartender friendly bottle shape. The Signature Gin tells the story of me setting up the business, honey for Wandsworth (where I lived for about 15 years) and orange for Mallorca. It also makes a lovely Bees Knees and there are lots more possibilities, such as a warm Gin Toddy for the Winter.
