Amazing book, didn't expect it to be quite so emotional but makes his writing and his humour so much better and more impactful also reminds us that even when someone cracks a joke and seems to be the life of the party they have their own challenges they re facing and may not always feel so cheerful when not in front of a crowd. The cast members are all his relatives and friends, making up a caring, funny and loyal group that you will never for get. Back in the 1960/70's Lots of people hated the series "Till Death do us Part" Staring Warren Mitchell and Anthony Booth. It feels very fresh to read something that feels like having a conversation with the author, Brendan O'Carroll has managed to do that perfectly here. Whilst it is interesting, I expected more comedy and there were lots of parts of this book that were boring, unfortunately for me.

He's been up and down both money and career endeavors, but he always believe in himself, worked hard and made his way to the top. He's the youngest of eleven children from a poor family in Dublin, he's a boy whose father died when he was just nine years old; he's someone whose hope and determination meant he never gave up. I won't say that, as Americans, we caught all the humor, but I will say that we laughed ourselves silly. Wow this book was so interesting to read and I learnt a lot more about the person who plays Mrs Browns Boy.

One thing I love about the show is how much of his immediate family (partner/kids/old friends) are involved and that really comes through with the inner warmth and heart of the show.
