As I have been wearing it more, I find myself preferring it over my W800, my DW291, my AE1200, or any of my other Casio watches as my go to daily beater watch. I do have a Casio data bank watch but it does not show countdown time and current time at same time on the screen and when I do a countdown, it goes back to the main time while I want the watch to be constantly showing the countdown. In contrary to other small squares from Casio, this one is rated with 50WR, which looks directly like a Marlin.It is almost illegible and flies in the face of everything that a genuine tool watch is designed to do. The lightweight case means this can go somewhat unnoticed on-wrist, this will get you through any tasks without getting in the way.

The only other part of this watch that isn’t black is the case rear, which is a stainless steel plate, held in place by 4 screws. However, their latest project, connected to the world of Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), required a fundamentally different mindset and technical design.

The countdown timer mode does show the current time as well but unfortunately it is referee countdown timer meaning it can only be set 5, 10, 12 ,15 etc minutes. I recently did a post about this Armitron Classic Digital Sport Chrono becoming my night/bed time watch. So, all in all, these new watches are a solid evolution of the G-Shock line, being smaller and lighter to be more user friendly and fashionable.

DW-5600BB and AE-1200 are my other super-preferred digitals, but I always wanted also something simple like F91, but with a little-bit "classier" look to fit more formal style. As such, unless you really like the aesthetics of this, I’d recommend opting for the other version of this watch, which features a regular display; that alternative also costs even less at the time of publishing.
