A top of the range blended Scotch whisky from the Royal Salute range, the 62 Gun Salute is made exclusively with whiskies which have been aged for at least 40 years. The Chivas Royal Solute 21 yo whisky is bottled in porcelain flagons, manufactured by Wade Porcelain. This prestige whisky is distilled at the legendary Strathisla Distillery, which is now Chivas Brothers primary operating centre, but was originally founded in 1786 and holds the incredible distinction of being the oldest working distillery in the Highlands of Scotland. The jewels and crests of each country forming Great Britain were the inspiration for the artwork inside the gift box, symbolising the unity under the Crown and enduring solidarity between the nations.Across the series, Royal Salute will collaborate with some of the most provocative artists working today to interpret, capture and immortalise the spirit of the ancient craft of whisky making.

These precious stones remain the inspiration for the colours of Royal Salute's handcrafted flagons, therefore bottle colour may vary. The only one of its kind, it is blended with more than 21 precious single malts from all five regions of Scotland, each matured for a minimum of 21 years. Strathisla distillery is the oldest continuously operating distillery in the Scottish Highlands and boasts an extraordinary archive of liquid history in the form of many rare and opulent whiskies.This exceptionally rich and complex blend is aged for 21 years in oak casks, the colour is amber and the odour is meaty with hints of sherry. In the mouth, the welcome warmth of orange marmalade and fresh pears is followed by a brave explosion of spices and hazelnut. This prestigious blend is presented in a bottle which has been inlaid with 24 carat gold and a luxurious case. The Royal Salute 32 Year Old Union of the Crowns is unfortunately a limited release from Chivas Brothers, because this blended Scotch makes one heck of an interesting dram.
