I ate up The Watcher's Test and The Broken Halo in a day, which is saying something because I don't read that fast. Later, these were reworked and published as books by Nobrow Press along with Steele's Pantheon, another comic series. They find Pugsley leading more living mascot costumes to trains; before Pugsley can explain, they argue. The original video’s premise had them living in an actual haunted house, rather than working at one (which removes a few layers of irony) and in my opinion although the video was funny there’s a lot more heart, although the comedy is similar.Norma asks Barney why he is sleeping over in the park, to which he explains that he is transgender and the park gives him an opportunity to make a fresh start.

And finding out that the poltergeist storyline was originally NORMA'S storyline instead of Barney's like it was in the show? Zagan deems him unfit for rule and decides to take rule herself, after she had freed Temeluchus from Pugsley. Book 2 has the heart and humor like book 1, but the plot is enhanced and full of revelations while remaining true to book one and not backtracking.They find the insurance ad; it shows Pauline accidentally dying on the shoot and then possessing Barbora, passing Barbora off as herself.

Were there any story threads you decided to change based on things the audience had responded to in Dead End? After walking to the haunted house and entering, they meet Courtney, a demon who disguises herself as part of the attraction.

There's angels, demons, ghosts, a portal to other planes of existence, as well as a wrestling tournament you won't want to miss. Courtney notices a part of Temeluchus's soul missing from the photograph, and Barney is surprised that Pugsley can speak now. The convergence of all these streams in the finale helped end the book on a high note even as things go very wrong in what is obviously the middle segment of a trilogy or something longer. In this second book, there's a lot of character growth, and a big escalation in the background mythology underpinning everything.
