About this deal

He was the distillery manager from 1995 to 1998, and from then head of distilling and whisky creation for everything in the Glenmorangie Company’s portfolio. The Glenmorangie distillery was established in 1843, on the site of a former brewery by brothers William and John Matheson. Captivated by the scents he found in Glenmorangie 18 Year Old’s bouquet, the floral artist likened our single malt to the wonder of a flower in bloom. Glenmorangie's limited edition The Cadboll Estate range of field-to-glass whisky showcases single estate barley grown on the distillery's Cadboll Estate.

A Whisky born out of Master Distiller Dr Bill Lumsden’s obsession for the culture, fashion and food of Japan. Glenmorangie’s Highland whisky makers use endless imagination and five key ingredients – wood, water, barley, yeast and time – to dream up delicious single malt whiskies.

In the giraffe-high stills at Glenmorangie, it begins soft and fruity, then gets darker and deeper as it is aged for 14 years in bourbon casks and port casks from Portugal. If you would like to change your settings or withdraw consent at any time, the link to do so is in our privacy policy accessible from our home page. The single malt is initially aged in American oak bourbon casks before being transferred to wine casks from Sauternes, which previously held the sweet French wine. The oak in which it slumbered hails from the Ozark Mountains in Missouri and the casks were seasoned with bourbon, adding a luscious, creamy depth to the whisky.

A collectible bottle of Glenmorangie Traditional 100° Proof, from back in the days when they didn't have the tall, slender bottles they do now. Led by Director of Whisky Creation Dr Bill Lumsden, this crackerjack crew are on a mission to bring new flavours and possibilities to the world of single malt. A signature expression for the distillery and one of the first cask finished whiskies produced in the industry, when it was initially released bank in the early 1990.Bill Lumsden is fond of saying that “that the orangey is morangey in Glenmorangie”, as a way of communicating the core flavour profile and how to pronounce the distillery name. The palate was ridiculously lovely, it was sweet without being too sweet, I didn’t get any orange or citrus at all but I did get lychee but it was as if the lychee had been dipped in chocolate. And after nearly a decade of careful ageing, he transferred a parcel into Château Montrose red wine casks.

Complete with a smart presentation tin, it'll make a superb gift for a special occasion, and a cracking addition to a collection. We take care to make sure product details are correct but the information shown, including vegan and vegetarian suitability, ingredients, and alcohol by volume (ABV) may change. Silken textures bring forth tastes of creamy vanilla that balance with coconut, almonds and honey, before a gentle, lingering finish. The vast majority of ageing takes place in ex-bourbon casks and what are known as ‘designer’ casks, made from specially grown oak in the Ozarks and then filled to Glenmorangie’s specifications with bourbon. The process of making Glenmorangie whisky starts with hard water from Tarlogie Springs and an unpeated Scottish barley.Beautifully packaged and stunningly arranged, the Glenmorangie Signet is an outstanding whisky of unprecedented style and taste. To give Original a delicious, go-anywhere finesse, we make it in our giraffe-high stills, then we age it 10 years in bourbon casks to absorb all manner of delectable flavours. A voluptuously silky spirit, aged first in bourbon casks for smooth, fruity notes, then finished in ruby port casks to create velvety depth.
