About this deal

Putting a thick layer of this on will make you look like you have applied resin to product (without all the harsh chemicals or the having to open a window bits). I've still got a near full bottle of Glossy Accents and some more of those pendant trays, so I will be making some more pendants in the near future. The head to head to head challenge will face Judikin's Diamond Glaze against Mod Podge's Dimensional Magic and Ranger's Glossy Accents. I was very much in a use what you've got mentality, so I grabbed a scrap piece of wood and a couple of strips of velcro (hook and loop tape).

Then I placed my bowl in the center of the plastic wrap and carefully applied the plastic wrap to the sides without smoothing it out too much (so it keeps the wrinkled pattern). A while back I picked up some small white bowls from Big Lots ( these look similar ) with a nice satin finish. be sure to scrape the stick along the edge of the cup so you can continue to mix the wet glossy accents into the powder – we’re going for a crumbly “wet sand” consistency. You can see how it wasn't quite out to the edge at first, but I pushed it out as best as I could without getting it close enough to break the edge and run off. I'd noticed in pictures of resin jewellery, the makers sometimes added a small object to their pendant tray, I had a small silver key on my desk and I decided to put the key in the tray before I poured in the Glossy Accents. And as I mentioned above, be careful pushing the glue up to the edge of any surface, if the surface tension is breached, it will run off of the surface and the dimensional effect will be lost.

I already destroyed some of my paintings with the usual spray-on sealers recommended for alcohol inks! This week, I decided to use 3 different dimensional glue glazes side by side to see which ones worked the best on washers with alcohol ink. While I liked this product as a glue medium, I am not as in love with it for making hard glossy surfaces. I've tried glazing alcohol ink washers in the past with mixed results, but the glues are a lot more convenient (less toxic and clean up with water) and less expensive than resin, so I keep trying to figure out how to get them to work better.I received a package of alcohol inks for Christmas and then bought a second set with a 50% off coupon at Michael's. Because the Diamond Glaze's thin consistency was tricky for the smooth edge-less washers and the Glossy Accents has a tendency to react with the alcohol ink, I'd pick Dimensional Magic for future alcohol ink on washers projects. The glue also managed to take some of the ink with it as it ran off even after sealing the washer with mod podge. If there are bubbles, pop the larger ones with a toothpick and you can use a lighter to help pop smaller ones. Use to accent, brighten, dimensionalize and magnify distinct areas on any scrapbook page, album cover, rubber stamped image, paper craft or home decor project.

The first time I tried this gloss/glaze/glue out, it reacted with the alcohol ink a bit and the glaze turned a bit pink.I live in Florida so drying time is crazy long for each of these, if you live in a more moderate or arid climate, your results will vary! How could I have been so careless, I could have kicked myself for not paying more attention to what I was doing. In this post I will be comparing Glossy Accents, Dimensional Magic, Mod Podge Gloss Luster and Fantastic Glazing Glue.
