Snap-Caps ( aka "Dome caps" or "UniCaps") were developed more than 40 years ago, and are still the best and most secure way to cover and protect screws, fixings and fasteners. The Fix: Before using, simply warm the caps in an 'inside' pocket (ie close to your body), or in an oven or similar warming device to a maximum of 100°C. Was supplied with a colour matching sample pack before I chose the cap which made colour matching easy. In essence, once water enters a space (because it is not sealed properly) instead of the water evaporating out again later, it becomes water vapour and remains in the space for a much longer time.
