Ink Gin

Neat, and this is an excellent gin to have on the rocks, sweet orange is more subtle and with the archetypal Australian lemon myrtle, berry and spicy notes more to the fore.Modern Australian flavours with bold citrus notes of lemon myrtle and sweet orange, followed by warm pepper berry and soft pea flower. Quirky names abound when talking about this gin, produced in the small town of Tumbulgum in the Tweed valley, in the far north-eastern corner of New South Wales. Being a complete unknown in a world of international industrial scale gin producers, Paul Messenger knew he had to do something truly different in his little tin shed in Northern NSW. Distinctly floral, complex, with a signature creamy mouthfeel, it’s a delight to drink with twists and turns aplenty. Ink Gin is made in a hand-beaten copper pot where the botanicals are combined with 100% Australian grain sprit and water from the local caldera.

Settling on balanced recipe of 12 botanicals, Ink Gin is placed in a hand-beaten copper pot still at the Husk Plantation Distillery, where it is combined with 100% Australian grain spirit and water from the volcanic rocks of the caldera that originally fell as rain.

In the gin was a truly unique botanical that broke boundaries and raised eyebrows, for the gin was blue.
