About this deal

DJI recently introduced a slick motion controller that eschews the traditional dual-stick transmitter and allows you to fly their new “FPV Drone” with just one hand. This greatly simplifies the design, as it essentially just needs to read angle data from its MPU-6050 gyro/accelerometer and forward it along to OpenTX over the serial port.

Some tweaks are in the works as you might expect for a first attempt, but nothing that would prevent you from building your own version today and experiencing what might be the next evolution of RC flying. So before you file this guide under B for Bin or D for Disappointed, we know that's the most boring answer you would ever want, but we can't stress enough how much it will potentially save you from huge frustration - not to mention how much it may also save you from having to spend more cash on potential repairs. All flight locations displayed by the Fly Spots feature are based on voluntarily-shared location tags from SkyPixel users. If you give the drone too much power, it's going to go straight up, whack off the ceiling and come straight back down just as quickly. Always follow local rules and regulations and fly your drone within your visual line of sight unless otherwise permitted.Move the left hand stick from its lowest position, right up to the top, then straight back down again. Press and hold the power button of the aircraft until the battery level indicators blink in sequence. Let’s face it, there haven’t been any properly-recorded UFO crashes in history, so they must be pretty easy to fly.

You've just bought your brand new drone and the only thoughts on your mind are how high you can get it, how fast you can go, and what totally awesome tricks you can pull of mid flight! If you are looking for an easy way to begin your flight journey of motion control drones, this nifty gadget is it! Check the goggles interface to make sure there are no warning prompts and that GPS signal is adequate. Make sure the batteries for the aircraft, goggles, and Motion Controller are all sufficiently charged for flight. With motion sensing technology, you can control the flight direction with just a slight turn of the wrist. The fact that it looks like it could double as the control stick for an X-Wing is just an added bonus. If you want to enter the universe of drones, but don’t want to cause a controversy with highly-public crashes, you are not alone… we have your back! Most need a little adjustment right after take off and some need a little adjusting as the drone starts to lose power as it runs out of battery. And, so that it stays stable in the sky, it has 6-axis gyro control and ‘headless mode’, which means that any side of the drone can work as the nose, relative to where you are standing (so forward on the remote is always forward for the drone).

Simply press this button on the remote controller while flying in any mode, at any speed, and the aircraft will stop and hover stably within a few seconds. Now you don’t need to worry about which way the drone is facing and trying to figure out the correct command to give it. If the Motion Controller is not using the latest version, there will be a prompt on the top left corner of the DJI Fly home page for a firmware update. Slow Motion, RockSteady stabilization, and distortion correction give pilots even smoother, more dramatic results. DJI RC Motion 2 is compatible with some camera drones, such as DJI Mavic 3 Pro, DJI Mavic 3 Pro Cine, DJI Mavic 3, DJI Mavic 3 Cine, DJI Mavic 3 Classic, and DJI Mini 3 Pro.TIP: Before linking the aircraft with the Motion Controller, make sure you have linked the aircraft with the goggles.
