I like how whenever the characters shout and argue it isn't melodramatic, it's perfectly acted and the actors gets across their emotions without sounding like a soap opera. With its seedy plum-coloured façade peeling and flaking among the cobbles, it had a strength totally absent from the brash supermarket which stood nearby.
