The series, produced by New Pictures, part of All3Media, is adapted from Lucy Clarke’s best-selling novel of the same name.I went about 30% without feeling very interested and it crossed my mind to abandon it for something more immersive. The paradise and escape the girls thought they had found turns into a nightmare as Lana and Kitty find themselves far from home and in terrible danger. The crew was in shock and distraught over the tragedy, yet the majority voted not to report the incident to port authorities. It’s helped by the lush, tropical landscapes which provide the series’ background – the show was filmed in some of Thailand’s most idyllic locations.
