However, Songs for the Deaf vacillates constantly between soaring heights and mind-numbing lows, making for a true hit-or-miss affair. This is easily one of the best sounding records in my collection; minimal surface noise, little to no inner ring distortion, great stereo separation, brilliant treble, and tight bass, all while still allowing the signature mid-boosted Queens guitar tones to slice through the mix in all their glory.
