Now that that argument is null and void, Paramount has released this in Blu-ray with all of the supplements intact (plus BD-Live). With all of its various robots, a movie like 'Transformers' really cries out for extensive concept art and various renderings, not just a few meager pics. It's surprising just how many of the stunts were live-action and not CGI -- and damn is that Optimus Prime truck scary. The car that Sam picks (or rather, the car that picks him), is actually "Bumblebee," one in a race of noble Autobots that have come to Earth to battle the dastardly Decepticons.

Older animations getting a full 4K restoration is pretty rare with the exception of a selection of Disney classics and some Japanese titles, so Hasbro, eOne and Shout!

Whether you're talking about the opening attack, the sequence in the desert with that weird "sand Decepticon," or the film's entire last 30 minutes, there's such a sustained low bass presence that it's almost like it's another character in the movie.
