Scattered across the Transporter are 4 easy to grab handles.Sure, these handles are convenient, but they are also big, burly and tough. In love with this bag so much, that I almost immediately went out and bought the 40L version for smaller trips as that is perfect for hand luggage restrictions.

It’s important to remember that this bag is water-resistant and not waterproof. While it will protect your belongings if you get caught in a rainstorm we can promise it won’t be as effective if you submerge it with water. While the Osprey Transporter 95 could maybe work for some people carrying gear, we wouldn’t recommend it for everyone.The Transporter’s main compartment isn’t flashy (there are a few features), it’s mostly just a big space to put all of your stuff. Duffels advertised as “water-resistant” are designed to keep your belongings protected from light rain and soggy ground. These models often cover their durable ripstop fabric with a laminate that keeps moisture from soaking in (often a DWR treatment or something similar). A DWR treatment certainly is a nice feature for everyone using a duffel: The weather is unpredictable when traveling, you never know when your duffel might be sitting on the tarmac for a few extra minutes, and it’s super helpful for outdoor use. In addition, some bags have flaps covering the zippers, which can be a point of weakness. Water-resistant gear does have limitations: It should work well in light-to-moderate precipitation but eventually will soak through. A DWR coating and/or water-resistant main fabric is key for outdoor environments The Transported is made out of a 800D Nylon - not only is this fabric incredibly tough, but it is also abrasion and water resistant - meaning that you can take it wherever, whenever and it will still look great for years to come.
