About this deal

But after getting all her credits, she did not get into nursing school as she was pregnant with her second child and decided to stay at home.

If the author would have followed one story line and gave the characters some well developed story lines this story had so much potential. But then the test matches her long time crush Ethan only for their date to go horribly wrong as she messes up her first kiss. But, when his mom announced that she couldn't watch Jordan like they had planned, Joshua turned to Beth, his childhood friend who lived across the street. When she discovers that her mother has been keeping her cancer a secret, Beth can't help but make her stop a permanent stay. and don’t even get me started on abigail’s chapters… they added nothing to the book and were completely unnecessary… and she’s not even a big character like i get she’s supposed to be friends with shelby but that relationship never developed.

As a reader it is really hard to distinguish and keep characters straight when all of their names are so similar.

Add the magic of Christmas and Quinn and Collin must decide if there’s a spark to change their broken hearts. Anne-Marie Meyer Synopses: Coming Home to Honey Grove by Anne-Marie Meyer is the first book in the Braxton Family series. The “BIG SECRET” and source of much of the tension in the story was weak and could have been handled in ways to make the heroine less annoying.

Just to show you what I mean when I say this man gives me the ick: Somewhere in the story he wants to blow off some steam and gets in to his self-build ‘gym’.I kept reading to find it but finally got to it near the end and was too determined to finish it hoping that it would be good. Everything seems to be working out until their relationship deepens and their arrangement isn’t enough anymore. Which brings me to my general feel of the book which is that, even though there are so many allusions to the fact that Shelby lived horrible things and is dealing with PTSD, none of that shows enough for the character to be consistent because we don't have a clear picture of what happened to her. The lack of cohesion in the story, the unrealistic and repetitive actions of the characters, descriptive words that don’t even make sense…yeah.

Shelby was just fired and wants to maintain this big, shining image of a successful woman (which she apparently is not because she needs to make a deal with a Ken-wannabe to be seen together in public and get publicity). One piece of the writing that had a lack of creativity to the point that I decided to two-star the review instead of giving it three-stars is that the author had 9 different characters or locations with names that all started with the letter J, including a character named Jordan and a town named Jordan. Especially when a meddling mother has fun making sure they stay in each other's presence constantly. Even though Beth is no longer the lanky girl next door, Josh isn't looking for a relationship anyway. He could have come up with a plan to finish her once and for all after his plans in junior high failed to do the job. When she is not taking care of her kids, she can usually be found developing ideas for her romantic novels. Now their friendship will never be the same again as she has started to have strong feelings of attraction towards her best friend. I need to take TikTok recommendations with a grain of salt, the scene the author showed was taken completely out of context and made to seem way more dramatic than it was. Olivia thought she had the perfect plan; to convince Ethan, the school quarterback who had been her best friend since they were little, to offer himself as the prize in her march making test, in which she intends to use the proceeds to pay for a vacation for the band.
