About this deal

The site is for support, advice and sharing, but members or visitors should seek qualified veterinary advice when necessary. After building a lot of paper models, I find that it doesn't have the tack that Glue-All does, and I don't think it holds as well either. I’m also a math teacher, so I’m competent enough at math to know that white school glue is cheaper than wood glue. Never had to dampen wood to improve the bond/hold before so read the packaging because it is definitely a better grip. If you’ve already done that, your item hasn’t arrived, or it’s not as described, you can report that to Etsy by opening a case.

But as someone who happily uses freebie paint brushes, who made a whole video devoted to proving Harbor Freight clamps aren’t as terrible as everyone says they are, and who is generally considered “cheap,” I am telling you, don’t skimp on your wood glue.Change country: -Select- Albania Anguilla Antigua and Barbuda Aruba Australia Austria Bahamas Belgium Belize Bermuda Bosnia and Herzegovina British Virgin Islands Bulgaria Canada Cayman Islands China Costa Rica Cyprus Czech Republic Denmark Dominica Dominican Republic El Salvador Estonia Finland France Germany Gibraltar Greece Greenland Grenada Guatemala Guernsey Haiti Honduras Hong Kong Hungary Iceland India Indonesia Ireland Italy Jamaica Japan Jersey Kuwait Latvia Liechtenstein Lithuania Luxembourg Macedonia Malta Monaco Montenegro Montserrat Netherlands Netherlands Antilles Nicaragua Norway Panama Poland Portugal Puerto Rico Qatar Republic of Croatia Romania Saint Kitts-Nevis Saint Lucia Saint Vincent and the Grenadines San Marino Serbia Singapore Slovakia Slovenia South Korea Spain Sri Lanka Sweden Switzerland Taiwan Thailand Trinidad and Tobago Turkey Turks and Caicos Islands United Arab Emirates United Kingdom United States Vatican City State Virgin Islands (U. It’s also sandable, paintable and waterproof and works on a variety of surfaces including stone, metal and wood. If you want the resulting glue joint to be moisture resistant (it'll still eventually dissolve or break down given enough exposure to moisture), use yellow glue -- and specific yellow glues at that. Elmers Glue-all was used quite a bit in the 1940 and 50's until some of the modern Carpenters glue came along. Add an aliphatic resin adhesive to a PVA emulsion and you have a PVA glue with higher tack, faster set time, and a little more water resistance.

Note that this is the white Gorilla Wood glue and not any of the solvent-based glues which will have a different toxicity profile. I've been using elmers as it was what was what I first purchased when I started getting into minor things that required "wood glue". This is the very first giveaway that I’ve ever won, and believe it or not, I was really excited when they arrived! And once you open the bottle for the first use, the contents start to skin over---the entire rest of the bottle may be ruined before you need to use it again. The wood glue will sometimes "catch" and hold the part in place before you get a chance to position it correctly. Michaels crafts charges a premium for Elmer's and only sells the smallest sizes, not even worth considering.
