Yes, synthetic, cheap, and commercial define it and I know others really sense the musk and amber but for me its so fresh and any powder/musk notes are very light and produces an overall juicy and slightly sour fruity/floral sense before settling down to that soft clean powder. Banana Republic Modern Woman and Modern Man arrive in classic glass flacons with pattern characteristic of the heritage of Banana Republic. Some fragrance reviews/descriptions can be all over the place, but most of the comments here are spot on. Rose and musk shine here in the heart and dry down, and I feel like the apple/citrus top make this a little sour and screechy.Tip: If you are between sizes and you are looking for a more supportive fit, choose the smaller size. However, it smells good, clean, aquatic and airy, very summer/spring fragrance with a tiny bit of spice. Someone mentioned that it reminded them of a chanel type fragrance, and I can actually see why they might say that. I am not familiar with that one but the female version is a true fruity-floral, which I would say is probably more fruity than floral. It has a very addictive smell though, and kind of reminds me of Ecko Green, but with a lot more going on. I hate using the word “synthetic”, because I feel like it’s overused and in most cases a poor descriptor.
