About this deal

Each can use the standard head, but you in turn lose the benefits of the brush head replacement reminder. The handle knows that the brush head should be replaced every 3 months, so once the handle detects that the brush head has been used for this amount of time, the ‘BrushSync’ LED on the brush handle will light up an Amber/Orange color. Due to the tuning of the 4100’s motor, its high intensity setting is more powerful than that of the 1-3000 Series. Sonicare claims that the 4100 Series removes 5 times more plaque than a manual toothbrush, whereas the likes of the 1100 removes only 3 times more plaque. You will gain a greater benefit from perfecting these things than you will from picking one brand of brush over another.

However, it really is the little things we love about the Sonicare DiamondClean Smart 9500, such as the fact that you'll be reminded to replace your brush head when it's no longer performing. The cut and configuration of the bristles are different on each of these heads to achieve different results. So, with all this said, whilst there might be the potential for a better clean from 1 brush over another if you are trying to achieve a particular result, for the average user, the clean offered by the standard ‘clean’ mode is identical. Whilst the larger Sonicare heads typcially cover more than 1 tooth surface, you still spend the same 2 minutes. Plastic in construction, it is hinged on the left side with a clip on the right to securely fasten it closed. Many of them are a matte white with very mild/soft colour accents on the power buttons and occasionally a rubber grip. The 4100 is available in 6 color options, white, black, sugar rose, deep pink, azure blue and dark forest compared to the 1, white gray color option of the 1100.

Whereas the 2D cleaning requires the physical movement of the brush head against the teeth, pulsations are essentially a ‘non contact’ form of brushing and relies on pulsations/vibrations like Sonicare brushes do. The 1000, 2000, 3000 and 4000 Series all have brush motors that offer 31,000 brush strokes per minute. Power and the number of movements the bristles make are only part of the equation in achieving clean teeth. The 4100 comes with 1 x C2 Optimal Plaque Control brush head compared to the 1 x W DiamondClean brush head with the 6100.Or since the brushes and their cleaning is advertised differently, might that play a role in the overall number also?
